Revised WBA tools: DOPs/SLEs Pilot

In line with the national guidance from the GMC and the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, the Faculty Workplace Based Assessments (WBA) advisory group has re-designed and re-named the Directly Observed Procedures (DOPs) as Supervised Learning Events (SLEs).  A range of SLE forms have been developed, to ensure they are more informative in nature and that they facilitate improved feedback.

All trainees and trainers are asked to participate in a three month pilot evaluation of the newly proposed SLEs .  Further information about the pilot and how to take part is available on the Faculty website.  Lucia Batty, Chair of the Faculty WBA advisory group, hopes that as many people as possible will participate in this important and exciting project.
