CESR evaluators

The Faculty is looking for new CESR evaluators (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) to join the CESR Advisory Group.

Applications reviewed by the Faculty’s CESR evaluators are often from experienced practising occupational physicians, who have missed out on full formal training; the CESR process offers them the opportunity to become specialists.  The GMC relies on the expertise and recommendations of our CESR evaluators to approve occupational physicians for entry onto the Specialist Register.  Evaluators will normally be asked to undertake only one (or possibly two) evaluations a year.

Training will be provided for new evaluators, which the GMC participates in.  CPD points are also available for training and every evaluation undertaken.  This is a good opportunity to work as part of a small mutually supportive team to help increase the pool of occupational medicine specialists and gain useful experience of evaluating evidence regarding specialist training.

Please see further details of the role and how to apply.

Closing date for applications: Friday 16 August 2013
