Faculty Chief Executive to stand down in 2015

Nicky Coates has decided that she will stand down from her position as Chief Executive of the Faculty next year, after nearly ten years in post. The message below was sent to members last week informing them of Nicky’s decision.

“During my time with the Faculty, I have overseen many changes, including the introduction of SEQOHS and revalidation, and the creation of innovations such as professional briefing days and CESR training.  I am confident that I will be leaving the organisation in a healthy state, having built a strong staff team and also having benefited from the support of the many hundreds of members who engage so actively with us and support our work – for which my heartfelt thanks.”

“The Faculty Board is currently digesting the outcome of the single organisation vote and we are considering, together with key stakeholders, what should be our direction of travel for 2015 and beyond. I shall of course continue to work closely with the President and other colleagues on our strategy into next year, but I knew it would be helpful to the Board to have good notice of my plans so that we can start the recruitment process for my successor in good time.”

“In the meantime, it will be business as usual and I look forward to continuing to work with you in the forthcoming months.”
