Preparing for the introduction of medical revalidation: a guide for independent sector leaders in England

The General Medical Council and the Independent Healthcare Advisory Services have published new guidance on revalidation for the independent sector. The guide is called ‘Preparing for the introduction of medical revalidation: a guide for the independent sector leaders in England’ (see link below).

The guide aims to help outline the steps which those leading independent sector organisations need to take, to be ready for the implementation of revalidation in late 2012.

On page 8 of the guidance, there is a flowchart, which aims to help you to identify who your Responsible Officer will be; based on the hierarchy of the organisation you work for.
