Return to work after cancer treatment

Dr Theresa Wiseman, Lead for Health Service Research at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, is conducting a study on “Return to work following cancer treatment: Perspectives in the workplace”.  This is being funded by MacMillan Cancer Support through the National Cancer Survivorship Initiative (NCSI).

Dr Wiseman is seeking the assistance of the Faculty in identifying companies to contribute to this work, particularly ‘well established large companies which employ a great deal of people from differing backgrounds and cultures and who have varied responsibilities, roles and standing in the community’.  The project aims to interview not only the people who have returned to work following treatment but also the occupational health/human resources personnel or the line managers involved in facilitating the return to work.
