Prizes and Fellowships
The Faculty offers the following three annual prizes and fellowships which are awarded in open competition:
- The Wilf Howe Memorial Prize, which is an engraved memento and a cheque for £500, is awarded in recognition of an outstanding innovation, initiative or intervention which has delivered a demonstrable health benefit for a defined working population.
Deadline for applications: normally January each year
- The Mobbs Corporate Health Fellowships offer an doctors an opportunity to travel to a centre of excellence to study a particular aspect of occupational medicine or to travel to a scientific meeting for which they have had a paper or poster accepted.

Student electives: the Mobbs Corporate Health Fellowships have now also been extended to medical students and junior doctors, to fund occupational health electives.
Deadline for applications: none – applications considered on receipt throughout the year
- The ExxonMobil Medical Student Electives offer funding for medical students to undertake their elective in Occupational Medicine
