SEQOHS standards review

In January 2010 the Faculty published the SEQOHS (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Services) Standards, and an accreditation system was launched and operational by the end of that year based on these standards; to date, over 100 occupational health units have been accredited.

The Faculty made a commitment to review the standards five years after the launch of the SEQOHS accreditation system; in order to allow adequate time for consultation, the Faculty is embarking on a consultation process now. The aim is for the review to be
completed in time for draft revised standards to be presented at the Faculty’s Autumn Conference in Birmingham on Wednesday 3 September 2014, ready to go live in 2015.

The Faculty has designed two surveys of the current standards  – one short version and one more
detailed, to be selected according to respondents’ choice.  We will welcome our members’ views, and will be publishing a link to the surveys on our website shortly.
