Revalidating Doctors’ PReP Appraisals

As you are aware, revalidation began on 3 December 2012 and you must now ensure you have an annual strengthened medical appraisal which will normally be undertaken with the Society of Occupational Medicine.

If you are revalidating through the Faculty, you will be using the PReP revalidation management system and your appraisal dates and documentation must be stored within this system. If you have not yet logged into PReP and set your appraisal date, please do at your earliest convenience. We encourage all doctors to “Log in early, log in often”.

If you have not yet set the meeting date for your appraisal you should ensure it is conducted before 3 December 2013. We recommend all doctors arrange their appraisal date for the 2012 – 2013 period by the end of July. Once you have confirmation of your appraiser, please send this to admin@fom.ac.uk and Faculty staff will update your PReP account. Please note that you will need to contact the Faculty as you cannot set the name of your appraiser yourself.

If you have any queries about revalidation and your strengthened medical appraisal, please email admin@fom.ac.uk
