Members: your opportunity to help shape the future of the Faculty and occupational medicine
Nominations are being sought for five elected posts on the Faculty Board. The remit for each post is set out in the calling notices listed below, each of which has a link to the relevant nomination form. This is your chance to participate in the work of the Faculty abnd to promote the specialty and secure a sustainable future for occupational medicine.
By way of background, at the Annual General Meeting in July 2015: Ioana Kennedy will complete six years on the Board and is ineligible to seek re-election; Imran Ghafur is eligible to seek re-election for a second three-year term; and Jim Ford has indicated that he will not be seeking re-election for a second term.
Mark Hilditch will complete one three-year term in July 2015 and is eligible to seek re-election for a second term.
Michael Lambert was appointed to this role in October 2014 to fill a casual vacancy until July 2015. Dr Lambert is eligible to seek election for a three-year term.
Members of the Board report that being part of the Board is both interesting and enjoyable, and provides and opportunity to work with colleagues who have diverse roles, to learn about the range and complexity of issues facing occupational medicine, and a great opportunity to influence the future development of the specialty at the highest level. So do please think of putting your name orward and involving yourself in the running of your Faculty.
