Upcoming SEQOHS training events: Book your place now

The Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS) is a set of standards and a voluntary accreditation scheme for occupational health services in the UK currently run by  the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

Since its initiation in 2010, SEQOHS has accredited 190 occupational health services with a further 140 currently working towards accreditation.

To ensure that occupational health services considering SEQOHS accreditation are well informed about the scheme, they are running a series of training events at the FOM offices in Greenwich, London. The training events, known as ‘Stage A: How to Work to the SEQOHS Standards’ are open to any occupational health service considering SEQOHS accreditation as well as services that have recently registered and want to gain a greater understanding of the processes and for individual employees that have recently started employment at an existing registered service.

During Stage A events training delegates will:

  • Review key areas of the standards
  • Receive guidance around areas such as clinical governance, developing policies and writing SLAs
  • Participate in practical workshop sessions such as audit, and look at case studies aligning them to the standards
  • Meet the SEQOHS team and better understand how they can support your service.

The ultimate aim of these workshops is to help support OH services in increasing the rate of success with accreditation and improving the quality of the service.

The next dates for ‘Stage A: How to Work the SEQOHS Standards’ is  16th June and 8th December 2020 and costs £175+VAT per person. Book your place here.

In addition to this, SEQOHS also hold regular training events for services already in the process of completing their self-assessment and evidence gathering process. These are known as ‘Stage B: How to Prepare for SEQOHS Accreditation’ events and are mandatory for services before moving into stage two.

Stage B training events provide further information on the SEQOHS accreditation scheme, helps delegates understand the SEQOHS standards and evidence requirements, and equip delegates with the knowledge on how to pass the assessment the first time. Six CPD points will be offered for each of these training days. One space is allocated per accreditation cycle as part of membership fees, however additional places can be booked for £175+VAT per person.

The next date for ‘Stage B: How to Prepare for SEQOHS Accreditation’ is 17th June and 9th December 2020. Additional places cost £175+VAT per person. Book your place here.
